Haters Are Lining Up To Hate Me

_20141210_155323

It has come to my immediate attention, through a variety of “sources”, i.e. email, Facebook comments, Google+ comments, and published post comments, that there is a select handful of people who remain butthurt over almost everything that is posted here or anywhere I post something. I’ve even been shunned from a few places that I called “homes” because I have become unpopular with their own readers. Other bloggers who have requested that I stop providing a link to their blog on my blog because they don’t want the connection any longer. So be it, it has been done. Here is the catch, the deal if y’all will, 97% of it is because of my LACK of involvement in politics, my LACK in voicing my opinion regularly about religion, my LACK of respect for life in general in the animal kingdom, humans included, and the fact that I’m a racist white fucker because I won’t ever pick a side. What can I say, people need racism, racism makes all parties involved money. Furthermore, because I’m a United States Air Force disabled veteran somehow makes me a leech on the American people. I won’t say I don’t care about others problems simply because we live in a society where everyone else’s problems become our own because people fail to take responsibility for themselves or their problems, so we all get to share. I don’t feel I need to pick a side, I choose to be my own person in my life, and fuck y’all if y’all can’t understand that.

So, because I choose, that’s me making a personal choice here, not to get involved in debates happening in the media or on social media sites, that individuals are feeling slighted by me. Because I choose not to jump on board with what I consider to be not relevant in my own life, people want to become butthurt as if I’m doing or saying something by indirectly not doing or saying anything that people have decided to not visit my blog, respond to social media posts I’ve made, and so forth. Do y’all know how low my numbers are? I’m not saying they were high in any regard to begin with since they have always remained on the low side, which is why it humors me that they can go lower. I don’t have thousands of readers on this blog, I don’t have thousands of follower on the social media hot spots, and I’m not blogging for stats, its just for fucking fun. But then again, that was never my goal, it still isn’t my goal. Hell, if I didn’t need someplace special to post my thoughts and opinions I would be done on the internet altogether. I don’t want to talk about politics, we all know everything about politics is fucked up to one side or the other or the other, we all know that this fact will never change in any way no matter who the president will be or is, we all know that the government is in every single aspect of everyone’s life, and we all know if I bitch about what I don’t like that it will still remain unchanged. As well, we all know that I’m not a religious person, this however, does not make me anti-religion. But, in the eyes of many this means I hate religion and/or people who have religion in their lives. Very untrue, I may disagree with you but I don’t hate you. And, apparently the vegans and vegetarians still have a problem with me personally because I like to eat meat and I post regularly about eating meat. If meat isn’t your thing personally then that is fine with me, but I won’t stop talking about so I don’t offend you.

My messages to the world are done here, people come here and find them, I’m not on the street corner holding up traffic to preach to them, they make a choice to come here, then get pissed or bent out of shape because I post something about an alcohol with a scorpion in it, amongst other reasons, but that one was recent so it stands out. Again, I live my own life, perhaps others would be better off if they made that same choice. I will tell y’all a little secret, even if I had zero followers here or anywhere, quit the social network sites, guess what, even if I was the only one reading my posts or viewing my posts ever again, I would be okay with that. That is how I started out and that is how I’m sure I’m going to finish. Let’s talk a little bit about racism and how because I’m white makes me a racist because I don’t get involved in the “discussion”. Sounds stupid when you read it real slow doesn’t it? Because that’s all y’all got, you have me admitting to be white. Suppose that makes me the devil as well. Moving on, why are there so many anti military people in the United States? Why are there so many anti gun people in the United States? Why are their so many anti law enforcement people in the United States? The answer to those questions aren’t even relevant because people in the United States don’t take responsibility for their own actions, they blame someone/something else and expect to be rescued by the very people they openly hate. I have asked it many times before, as a Nation where would we be if we could not defend ourselves or protect our people? Would that make y’all America haters happy? Don’t call me for help for any reason, not even if you bump your toe in the night. One might need to look in the mirror to re-evaluate who the problem really is.

Do I agree with everything that happens in the world, of course not. Do I turn a blind eye to everything happening in the world, of course not. I do, however, pick and choose my battles carefully because bad choices lead to bad decisions. I really could care less about people in general, everyone has their own reasons to define their own existence, to which I’m no different, I just do business differently. I was taught differently growing up. I learned from the hard lessons in life. I learned to take responsibility. How many of y’all can raise your hands and honestly say you take full responsibility for who you are?

I leave you with something that happened over the weekend. At the rear of my Nissan Pathfinder there is a trailer hitch. It’s visible to the naked eye. It’s there because I regularly haul a trailer. I made a trip to Walmart over the weekend to purchase a few things I needed around the house. I was in Walmart approximately 15 minutes, including check out time. As I approached my vehicle I see there is a woman with a small child standing at the rear of it. I opened my door to put my bag inside and this woman begins screaming, not yelling (I’m married so I know the difference) at me wanting to know what I’m going to do about her now bruised shin because she walked into my trailer hitch. I asked her if she was paying attention to her walking path and she became very irate. This is my fault somehow? Well, since it appeared we were engaged in a “domestic dispute” a kind Walmart patron called the police department to report it. Lucky for us there was an officer already at the store because “tis the season for shoplifting gifts for loved ones”. I was told to leave because she made a choice to put her hands on this female officer while explaining I needed to be arrested for her injury. I know, seems pretty far fetched, but the officer walked her to the patrol car, was placed in the back seat, and she returned to inform me I was free to go since we didn’t even know each other. So, what’s my point in sharing this story? It’s simple. Since she wasn’t paying attention where she was walking she walked into my trailer hitch, which I know from personal experience, hurts like a motherfucker, and then she decided to wait for me to come out of the store to verbally whip my ass. Did I mention little miss potty mouth had a small child with her, oh yea, I did. But, she does not blame herself, she blames me. Why? Because some people just aren’t capable of taking responsibility for their own actions, so she had to blame me for having a trailer hitch exposed. Now I’m sure all Y’all trailer hitch hating fuckers are going to rally against me as well. Perhaps the hitch needs a sticker on it so people would pay attention while walking so close to my vehicle. Maybe she was peeking in the back? Anyway, no hard feelings, not even with you being a raging bitch to me, karma works in mysterious ways, so we’re good.

Smoked Wild Turkey For Thanksgiving 2013

turkeywilder

Y’all can consider this to be part two to Our Family Thanksgiving Tradition which was published on 25 November 2013. I provide the link only if y’all need to catch up, refresh, or both. Whichever y’all decide to do, just hurry up, we have allot to discuss. When I left off last time I mentioned that we dressed out our wild turkey and set it to soak in a magic recipe. But, before I give y’all those details so y’all might try it out some day for yourselves, y’all must make sure you have one very specific item, and that is a 5 gallon bucket with a tight sealing lid. I prefer to get mine from Home Depot because, to date, they have yet to ever, and I mean ever, fail me for having a leak proof tight lid. But, y’all make that call when I’m not looking. Also, for the meat haters who love to hate it when I write about meat I just want you to know, specifically you, yes, a wild turkey was harmed (killed) to complete this recipe. There, I said it, now get over yourselves and either turn tail and leave or read on. Now, wash the 5 gallon bucket and lid real well, scrub it good. When it is clean and dry place it on a chair and make sure it isn’t going to fall off of it. Place one dressed wild turkey in the bucket, neck up and tail down. Pour two 750ml bottles of Wild Turkey into the bucket with the turkey. Y’all can use the basic run of the mill Wild Turkey if you please, I had a case of Rare Breed leftover from a party when I worked at the club, so I used it, well, two bottles of it anyway.

Open two large cans of whole berry cranberry sauce and pour those in as well. Wash 4 good sized oranges and slice them into 1/4″ thick slices leaving the peels on. Take all of the slices and slice them in half then put them in the bucket. Wash and cut 1 each red, yellow, and green bell pepper. Put those in the bucket now. Wash and cut 4 jalapeno peppers and place those in the bucket. I also added 1/4 cub Tabasco Sauce, 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce,  1 cup (packed) brown sugar, and 1/2 cup (finely chopped) mint leaves. Whatever space remains in the bucked fill with cool water until the liquid level is about 1 1/2″ from the top. Securely put the lid on and I mean make sure it’s on tight or you will have a mess to clean up. Carefully remove the handle from the bucket and set it aside for now. Lay the bucket on the floor on it’s side and roll it back and forth until you think everything has blended well. As tempting as it may be do not, under any circumstances, take that lid off until you are ready to smoke it. Now, I happen to have a refrigerator that I have taken the bottom shelf out of so my bucket fits just fine, you’ll have to see what works for you as it needs to sit this way for a few days. Mine sat like this for 96 hours (4 days).

After you get your smoker up to temperature it will be time for the turkey. I began my fire with red oak until the smoker would maintain about 500F, then I added some hickory and mesquite which had been soaking in a bigger bucket for a few days that was filled with water. When you are ready for the turkey just pry the lid off the bucket, reach in there barehanded, grab the turkey, and slap it on the smoker. Do not discard the remaining contents in the bucket, some of it will get smoked and some of it will be used in a bit. The remaining contents need to be strained so all of the liquid is removed. One can also “dip” everything out as well. Split the solids in to equal portions. Take one portion and put it in a blender or food processor and puree the snot out it. If it is really thick, add a little Coke. It should come out the consistency of ketchup. Set that mixture back in the fridge. The remaining portion can be placed on a cookie sheet, covered with something, and placed into the fridge. Those will be put on the smoker when there is only about 2 hours remaining. Now, do not open your smoker to look at the turkey because it is doing just fine without you looking at letting the heat and smoke out. Mine cooked for 12 hours. At the 6 hour mark I took the puree mixture and slathered it all over the turkey. Close the smoker. Discard all remaining puree.

Now that you have around 2 hours remaining of cook time, put that cookie sheet of peppers and orange slices on the smoker uncovered. They will be removed when you remove the turkey from the smoker. When the time is up, carefully remove your smoked turkey. Use “hot gloves” so you can grab the whole turkey and keep it together. Place the turkey on your selected platter, leave uncovered, and let it “rest” for around 1 hour. The peppers and oranges can be used as garnish, ground up and put into something, or just eaten, the choice is yours. We cut ours up and make a salsa concoction out of it. Your turkey will slice very easily and should have a deep smoke ring as well as a nice crust on the outside. Now has come the time to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Making a turkey this way is time consuming and requires quite a bit of patience. Unfortunately there are no short cuts if you want it to come out right. I hope everyone enjoyed this information provided here today. Feel free to share it with family and friends. The more people smoking means the more opportunities there are to explore the best ways to come up with great creations.

Now, I feel inclined to add some things for the meat haters and the anti-alcohol people. First, this isn’t the only way to make a turkey, it is however, my personal way, one that works for me. First, a note about alcohol content in the meat. Since the meat is smoked at a temperature well over 172F (the boiling point of alcohol) for pretty close to 12 hours the remaining alcohol contained in the meat is way less than 5% if any at all. You will be, however, left with all the flavor that the Wild Turkey provides when used in smoking. Don’t believe me, just look it up and the answer will be revealed to you. As mentioned, yes, a turkey was killed, in fact it was killed by my 12 y/o son using a compound bow. You may not think so, but bow hunting has become a lost art with very few in the next generation being taught the skills and techniques. It’s a way of life in my family, we are not city folks, we live in the outskirts of society where being able to provide meat for the table is a gift not a curse. I’m sorry that so many people are against killing animals to eat because it makes it hard for people like myself and my family to enjoy a passion which we have all grown up loving. Unfortunately, you bastards attacked me when I published a post about the hunt, and unfortunately some of y’all will feel inclined to bitch at me and lecture me once again. Well, make sure what you say is worth a shit so I have something worthy of writing about, because if it’s not than you’ve just wasted both of our time. I’m not writing here to offend anybody, I’m just writing about a big aspect of my life, hunting and smoking meats. I hope everyone who celebrated Thanksgiving had a safe holiday and had an enjoyable time, I know we did. Until Next time, remember to eat it every day.

You People Need To Lighten Up

Originally Published To: Hate Mail on 10 April 2013

Here we are once again. I have been neglecting my duties by not sharing more often. But, I won’t promise anything, but I will try to keep up and post as I get 2 or 3. Today I am going to do a combination post from messages, e-mails, and comments I have received in reference to three specific posts, Is Being An Alcoholic A Disability, Bigfoot, God, And Ghosts, and What Has The World Come To. I can’t even begin to tell y’all how surprised I have been that so many have become so bent out of shape. Makes me think that is why I write. Perhaps I need to add that to my mission statement. I have always stated that I am here to lay out my opinions on many things. I choose not to try to cater to one group or another. Love me, hate, it doesn’t matter because blogging isn’t paying my bills so I don’t believe that I need to kiss any ass of suck up to anyone in particular. As I mentioned, this is going to be a collective of messages, comments, and e-mails received on these two posts. I will quote some things, but if you have been paying attention I usually remove all the comments that refer to me as a “pagan devil worshipper” since it really doesn’t add anything that other people want to read. So, I do my job as babysitter to other people’s children and make the appropriate edits. But wait, they don’t actually ever disappear, I collect them and add them to, what I consider, to the greatest collection of crap known to mankind.

Shortly after my posting about Bigfoot the stupid shit really started pouring in. I was told that Bigfoot was an urban legend, ghosts were myths, and God is very real. I was bombarded with so much biblical mumbo jumbo that it almost made my head explode. Well, even after the sermons, I still don’t see any proof that God exists, therefore, in my opinion, God ranks right up there with everything else that cannot have it’s existence proven to mankind. Next thing I got was questions asking me why I left out everything about Aliens since they rank pretty high on the myth and legend scale. I took a fair amount of heat from a fair amount of people about leaving them out. Well, ok, I did leave them out, and it was on purpose, because if I would have added commentary about Aliens then the post would have become grossly boring and long winded. Plus, it wasn’t even what I was thinking about, it never entered my mind until I was almost done writing the post. I did give it thought at that time because it too is one of those great unsolved mysteries. Hell, why not add in the Bermuda Triangle while I am at it. My point is simple, people believe in many things, I am not here to say a person’s opinion is inaccurate, I just ask that if you wish for my support just give me something to actually support. True, I do ask allot of questions about God’s existence and the purpose of believing in something nobody has ever seen. I will continue to do so until God is knocking at my door waiting to be invited to eat some of my Diablo Scorpion Chili. Until then, everything about God is just another fairytale. By the way, if it actually matters, I am not a devil worshipper. People take their religion way to serious, it almost seems they don’t leave time to actually live their life, and that is very, very sad. I don’t hate Christians and God, I just think the entire idea is a bit silly. Who would have ever thought idol worship was still alive and strong. There is no reason to be wound so tight. But hey, I think I will always get flack for not believing in God, and I am ok with that since I made my choice while standing by my choice. You God fearing people really have a mean streak.

The second part of this post will be about how people want to split hairs with me about someone being an alcoholic and in their opinion it is a disability. Perhaps we just look at what a disability actually means in different light. I am a firm believer that being an alcoholic was a choice that person made. The alcoholic isn’t disabled, the alcoholic is addicted. In my post I explained my own struggles, those were dismissed because people wanted to disagree with me. It would appear that those same people didn’t want to look up the words so they would know the definitions and they wanted to feed me the same old garbage about it being a disease. I will give them one simple thing, drinking indeed causes medical problems and even some diseases, but being an alcoholic is not the disease, just a contributer.I find it amazing how childish people act when there is a differing opinion than what they see in mainstream media. I am not here to enable any jackass that thinks making poor choices in life mysteriously makes him/her having a disability. Let me give you an example of disabled, it is my personal situation. I was retired from the United States Air Force as a 100% disabled vet. Want to know what that means, look it up. In fact, I know some of y’all are a bit lazy, so I will provide the following link for the VA and you can look it up. Also, you can look at the 2013 Veterans Compensation Benefits Rates Table for more info. Make sure you look at the very bottom of the table at the last entry and remember I am a veteran with a spouse, two children at home, and one in college. So, do you think I need to work to fill my financial needs? (see snippet below)  Now, legally, as per my DD214, I am not eligible for employment in the United States. However, I was provided with a waiver because I didn’t want to sit at home on my ass living off the gov’t cheese for the rest of my life. Add to that knee replacement a few years ago, yet I still get my ass up every day and go to work. Why? Because I made the choice not to use it as an excuse. Which is what we do in life, we make choices, good and bad. I don’t look for pity and I don’t expect shit to be handled to me either. I do, however, wish that people would own up to their choices so there doesn’t have to be laws protecting them for making poor choices. Do I take this a little personal? Yes, because I know the difference between being truly disabled and and being an alcoholic with an addiction.

The third part of this post will be about how offended the non-meat-eaters became with me because of my opinions and how I painted being a non-meat eater in my post. Let me just throw this down for all of you, I eat meat, I enjoy eating meat, I enjoy cooking meat, and meat makes me very happy. If that offends any of you then you really need to get over yourself. A non-meat eater’s way of life isn’t wrong for that person, its just wrong for me. One of the fabulous messages had stated that she can’t wait for karma to catch up with me and won’t it be a bitch if one day I am forced to eat in the vegan lifestyle. I gave this some thought, and yes, it would be a bitch because I am not sure I could do it. I cannot predict the future, but from what I can see in my crystal ball I don’t see meat not being in my life any time soon. I mentioned I am not knocking the vegan lifestyle, that, however, does not mean I can not talk about what I don’t personally like about vegan foods. Personally I wish all the vegans and non-meat eaters all the best in life, I mean that.

Finally, always try to keep in mind that sightings of Bigfoot can be faked, sightings of Ghosts can be faked, believing in God, Unicorns, and Aliens can also be faked, but you can never fake the almighty and grand steak.
